Bonnyville & District Historical Society and Museum
Société Historique et Musée de Bonnyville et Region

We welcome you to experience the inspiring stories and diverse history of the Bonnyville District as you explore our 13 buildings and picturesque three acre grounds.
About
The Bonnyville & District Museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts relevant to the development and settling of the Bonnyville Region.

A 7-meter high statue of Angus Shaw, a late 1700s fur trader and explorer, stands for posterity's sake as a reminder of Shaw's contribution to the fur trade in Western Canada.

There are thirteen buildings on site, including two churches, a replica of the Durlingville School house, the 1920s Vallée General Store, an expansive hospital display, a representation of Angus Shaw's North West Trading Company post, the Bonnyville water tower, and a quaint, 1907 house that typifies pioneer life as it was in the early years of settlement in Bonnyville. We have an extensive collection of antique machinery and vehicles, including a steam engine tractor.
